Born Perry Co., Tenn., Jan. 22, 1853, came to Ripley County with parents at age 17. In 1876 married Miss Fanny Williams, 4 boys and 1 girl were born, all survive. Until a few years ago he lived on a farm on Fourchee near Ponder. Three children mentioned were Will, John and Maude. HUTCHERSON, George W.    Died Jan. 6, 1908    "George W. Hutcherson died at Albright Hotel at 6:30 p.m. last Monday of old age.
During Reconstruction Days he was Circuit Clerk for several years. From 1882-1887 was Presiding Judge, County Court.
"An injudicious 2nd marriage when well advanced in age broke him financially", for last year been charge of county. Survived by 3 sons of 1st marriage, 2 live in county, 1 in Chicago. Buried Tuesday at Oak Ridge."

Hutcherson (known as "Red") died last Thursday at 12:30 p.m. "A crippled or deformed man who for a number of years has lived just north of Malugen's livery barn and made a living mending shoes." Buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery Friday afternoon. Age 53, son of ex-County Judge Hutcherson. Born in Williamson Co., Tenn. but lived here most of life." ~ Prospect-News, January 31, 1907
