Cemetery notes and/or description:
Historical records show that Acorn was the name of a discontinued post office in
southeastern Harris Township, Ripley County, Missouri near the Sinsabaugh and
Slagle railroad stations. Named for the large acorns of the cow oak, or overcup
oak that grew in that vicinity.
Triplett, Wesley Anto Sep. 6, 1903 - Jan. 22, 1919. Son of John William Triplett, Sr., (1865 - 1936) and Rebecca Ellen Terry Triplett (1874 - 1911). Died at Doniphan at the age of 15. Preceded in death by his mother and a brother, James H. Triplett. Survived by his father and siblings, David Love Triplett (1897-1969), John William Triplett, Jr., (1899 - ), Mary Jane Triplett (1905 - 1989), Sallie Beatrice Triplett (1905 - 1970), Ernest Triplett (1909 - 1980) and Beulah Triplett (1912 - ).
