MURRAY, John H. Apr. 2, 1849 - Feb. 25, 1911 -Civil War Veteran- "John H. Murray, the tie-man, died at home in Doniphan at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, 25 Feb. Fell and struck his head near the depot earlier that afternoon. Buried Oakridge on Monday with Rev. J.M. Alexander of the Presbyterian church officiating. "Would have been 63 in a month and half." Came from Tenn. Leaves wife and a son, Clint Murray. Also leaves two small grandchildren, Dewey and Clyde Crim, who lived with him.
